The Abiu is tropical in its requirements, needing a moist, warm climate. Abiu is a smallish tree with longish, light green leaves. These baseball-sized fruits are round or can be slightly oblong (depending on the variety), growing green and then bright yellow when ripe. The best varieties are ‘GRAY’, ‘Z-1’, and ‘Z-2’, all selections from Queensland.
