Dwarf Pennyroyal Mint

Mentha pulegiurn

This is a dwarf mint that is not used for culinary purposes. It is grown for its low tight habit, forming a dark green ground cover that smells like mint when stepped upon. Can be grown in full or part sun. It grows best with regular watering and grows tightest in the sun. Excellent for planting between stepping stones. It has a vigorous growth habit but is not invasive. It also does well in hanging baskets and containers. It loves water and responds well to organic fertilizers. It is, however, sensitive to synthetic fertilizers.
