is happening now! The Network is challenging farmers, gardeners, horticultural professionals, schools, and volunteers to help reach a million pollinator gardens over the next two years to reach the goal of

one million

additional pollinator gardens.Bees, butterflies, birds, and bats count for

1 out of 3 bites of food we take each day!

However, these friendly pollinators are at a critical point in their own survival. Their survival is credited to our own survival. Therefore it is crucial that we take the time to help them, help us!

Here's what you can do to help...

Pollinator Garden Guidelines

Pollinator gardens should:

  • use plants that provide nectar and pollen sources

  • provide a water source,

  • be situated in sunny areas with wind breaks

  • create large “pollinator targets” of native or non-invasive plants

  • establish continuous bloom throughout the growing season

  • eliminate or minimize the impact of pesticides.

With the addition of a few pollinator friendly plants in your garden that are not treated with any insecticides or neonicotinoids, you can Bee a part of the movement. Kauai Seascapes Nursery, Inc. has pollinator attracting plants at the nursery, and we do not use insecticides with neonicotinoids so our plants are all "pollinator friendly".
