The Year of the Snake: A Time for Growth and Transformation
As the Lunar New Year approaches, it’s time to welcome the Year of the Snake!
The Chinese Zodiac has a 12-year cycle, each year distinguished by a different animal representing what that year will bring. January 29th is the beginning of the Year of the Snake, the sixth animal in the zodiac cycle. People born in the Year of the Snake are known to be intuitive, wise, and effective problem-solvers. The Snake symbolizes calmness and introspection, something we could all channel in this coming year. People born in the Year of the Snake are said to face challenges when the zodiac repeats every 12 years, but these obstacles often lead to greater wisdom and personal growth. This year brings with it the Snake’s wise and intuitive energy. It brings along change and opportunity. Snakes are known to be strategic, mysterious, and good communicators. Let’s bring a little bit of mystery, good communication, and strategy into the year and open ourselves up to the opportunity for growth.
And while we are working on our own inner growth, we can share some of that energy with our garden and grow with our plants. Those born in the Year of the Snake are encouraged to wear red throughout 2025 to ward off bad luck. Maybe we can find some red plants to help bring us good luck and welcome in the Year of the Snake!
