Water: Dry. Drought, wind, salt spray, and heat tolerant.
Landscape uses: Great as a groundcover, border plant, and hedge. Useful for erosion control. Can be trained on a trellis or to climb up a fence.  Produces slightly fragrant white flowers.
Plant type, family and origin: A sprawling shrub in the Roseaceae family native to Hawaii.
